Erin Hirsh is one of the most artistically diverse Costume Designers and Stylists working in entertainment today, from designing costumes for cultural icons Ellen DeGeneres and Rihanna to collaborating on projects with visionary filmmakers David Lynch and Spike Jonze.
Erin currently serves as the Fashion Director and Head Costume Designer for NBC’s Emmy Award–winning series The Voice, Seasons 1–3 and 5–29.
Her decades-long career in fashion began as a visual merchandiser under the creative direction of Tom Ford for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. Her costume portfolio includes designing multiple world tours, award-show performances, music videos, editorials, and red-carpet styling for artists and actors including Tracee Ellis Ross, Janelle Monáe, Rhianna, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Gnarls Barkley, Blake Shelton, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Pratt, Nicky Hilton, Eve, Cassie, Anthony Anderson, Elle Fanning, and Chloë Sevigny, among many others.
Celebrated for her conceptual vision and technical precision, some of Erin’s most recognizable designs are the LED light-up jacket and glasses worn by Kanye West during his 2008 “Stronger” Grammy performance, now part of the Grammy Museum’s permanent collection.
Erin’s work lives at the intersection of art, fashion, storytelling and design.
